The following blog has Spoilers for the Stephen King book 11.22.63 this your one and only warning.

STEPHEN KING 11.22.63

The day that  chnged the world.

What if you could change it back ?
On November 22, 1963, Three shots rang out in Dallas,
President Kennedy died, and the world changed.
If you had the chance to change history, would you?

Would the consequesnces be worth it?

The Book so far – Jake’s happy life as George the school teacher is now falling apart all because Sadie heard he sing a Rolling Stone’s song which will not be heard for the next three years to acts as a Catalyst and she mentions that all his records are false, and as they fight Jake makes the link between her Dunning. But he’s able to set up a lamp in the home that LHO will soon live in.

And now the continuation

  1. Jake is found out because the school system has no medical records for him he then says he leave at the end of the month but would somebody please look after Sadie.
  2. He pays rent on the flop house.
  3.  Jake cleans out his pigeonhole at the end of the school year and finds a letter from Sadie simply saying goodbye.
  4. As he leaves two of the students give him a leaving present and he’s lost for words
  5. So he here in Mercedes Street and there is no going back and no. telling the truth life in Jodie is over
  6. He goes to airport to watch LHO come in but sees Sadie, he about to help her but the magazine he’s reading changes to show Jacqueline Kennedy in her blood stained suit, so he let’s Sadie go.
  7. At first Jake doesn’t see them and thinks some They will never come and in fact he’s in a parallel world but Kennedy survives, But when they do arrive he feels sick.
  8. Jake goes home and Talks out loud to Al (yes still dead) Using his notes as a sounding board, he needs to find out if LHO is working alone.
  9. Jake sets himself up with a pair of binoculars.
  10. One Fourth of July he calls ‘home’ and is told Sadie is now a waitress and will be staying a little longer the whole thing is heartbreaking
  11. At the end of the call Jake is invited to The Diner in Jodie and is shown a photo of Sadie ex and is told he not right in the head
  12. He goes to see the football coach who thanks him for setting a kid straight and a guy who wants to put the team on the radio.
  13. Later he see a billboard with Jim LaDue and the words JIMLA on it
  14. Two days later he goes back to the Electrical shop to buy something called an omnidirectional microphone.

What I think – It’s once again become two books, A race against time for the Lee Harvey Oswald moments trying to stop him from either assassinating the first gentleman of finding out whether he’s working alone for a second Kennedy assassination. And the second trying to save Sadie from her ex with very limited resources, and has become some what of a golden boy in Jodie. I know that he made Deathbed promise to Al to help change the Kennedy assassination but at what cost he has slowly build-up a fabulous Life and helped so many people. Yes I know He’s killed somebody already, And is living a lie, There will no happy ending for Jake either he will end up dead trying to stop Oswald or he will go insane and become the yellow card man.

Well that’s what I think anyway now I have seen the people around him Sadie and the rest of the teaching staff and many of the pupils it’s a very poor showing if they end up having bad lives just to make dramatic effect, There has been so much death and destruction already in this book and it’s quite a lot more to come I’m guessing but to touch innocent people it just seems a bit wrong.

Well that’s your chapter for this week, as always if you have done thanks for reading and I hope you can join me next week for the next one,

Bookends – Bookreview- 11.22.63 by Stephen King – Part Four – Sadie and The General- Chapter Sixteen

The following blog has Spoilers for the Stephen King book 11.22.63 this your one and only warning.

STEPHEN KING -11.22.63

The day that changed the world.

What if you could change it back ?
On November 22, 1963, Three shots rang out in Dallas,
President Kennedy died, and the world changed.
If you had the chance to change history, would you?

Would the consequesnces be worth it?

The Book so far – Jake and Sadie have become a real couple in a real relationship, but still keep it for most of the school board. It starts to get a bit complicated when Jake starts to get nightmares about killing Dunning and then the yellow card man. Then the woman who lives in the slums of Dallas calls to let him know she’s moving out, so he goes to see her, and she tells him want ever his up to drop it and just go home.

 and now the continuation

  1.  The Christmas party for the staff doesn’t go to well and the school ever worse, Sadie is upset and is unsure about their relationship it now 1962 Jake is once again alone.
  2. Jake takes his bugged lamps to the house that LHO with share with his wife and set one up, when he gets home himself Sadie asks him to come over but things have changed
  3. The fire has now gone out for both Jake and Sadie they both don’t want to end it things will brake down soon
  4. Jake is starting to cut ties with town of Jodie has if things go wrong he may end up in prison
  5. Jake is talked into putting the school play back on something called the Jodie Jamboree
  6. He asks Sadie for help and they start to plan things
  7. They even put a few ad in a news paper
  8. The play goes well and the whole thing ends in a planned pie fight
  9. The proceeds from the play will go to help the girl that was starred in the accident, Once again Jake feels part of something but he knows something bad will happen soon
  10. Shopping with Sadie Jake’s mind is running though how he can get hold of the house a few yards a way from LHO when he starts to sing
  11. The song is by the rolling stones Both the song and the band will not exist for another five years Jake tries to cover how he knows the song but Sadie calls him out and it all falls down and Sadie knows his Application and references have been falsified so she has really no idea who he is then Jake sees her application form for a job she needs to take, he sees it spells out Doris Dun Then he questions and hopes that her ex husband doesn’t find her they shoot some more and Jake leaves.

What I think- I knew the happy time would come to an end and Jake would have to be Jake once again trying to stop Lee Harvey Oswald but I’m not too keen on the way it has, he mistakenly starts singing a song which he knows isn’t right on the one day he’s half Jake and half George. And now the fact Sadie somehow ties into Frank Dunning does somewhat seem to be somewhat contrite, I know Jake couldn’t just lock himself away in the mountains for a few years until he has to go to Dallas away from everything but the way he’s gone about this the way he’s integrated himself into life in the school does seem a bit harsh to everybody around him. He created a happy life only just to let it slip. I have no idea how it’s all going to shake it out at the end weather indeed Jake is the yellow card man which if he is and I’ve been saying it all along the books quite obvious but I hope that we find out about the people that Jake is now leaving behind What Becomes of them in the same way we found out about Al and his first trip back to save the girl from being shot.

Well that’s the end of this chapter for this week, I have no idea what the Fallout will be if Jake will continue at the school in anyway I just disappear into Dallas, it’ll be quite interesting to find out.

Ok that’s your lot for this week, As always thank you for reading and I hope you can join me for the next chapter.

Bookends – Bookreview- 11.22.63 by Stephen King – Part Four – Sadie and The General- Chapter Fifteen

The book so far – Still under his pseudonym Jake still teaches at the high school and starts a relationship with Sadie another teacher there’s chaperone the dance and I put on a memorial service for the teacher that introduced them at the end of the dance the end up back at her house but said sadie does not want to take it any further at that point Until a few hours later when she rings up.

    And now the continuation

    1. Jake goes to towns over and bring the things Sadie ask him, then he waits and she comes to his house
    2. The go to bed and she feel for the first time
    3. She talks about her past marriage but only for a short time today she only wants to feel the fizz her word for the feeling.
    4. They lay in bed together but all to soon its time for Jake/George to leave he feels bad he has to lie and doesn’t want to think about what the future will hold but for now he and Sadie are happy and long May that continue.
    5. On the ride home he thinks about the fact that he’s not even born yet and he’s been trying to prevent a child coming into this world as well.
    6. Jake goes and picks up Listening device from his friend in Dallas.
    7. Back at the school Sadie sends him a note
    8. Over the fall (Autumn time) they enjoy their time together but are careful to make sure nobody sees them or do anything that will draw attention to themselves.
    9. The Old principal of the school comes back to talk to George/Jake And tells him about a discrete place that he knows also the fact that he knows the second reference, Jake gave was fake but No she’s not going to tell anybody but he needs to clean to Sadie
    10. They go to the place and tell each other they are in love
    11. Sadie talks about her marriage and about her ex who has a very severe case of OCD and you use a broom to separate them from touching when in bed.
    12.  Jake has a nightmare about Sadie ex and the yellow card man
    13. Sadie wakes Jake from the nightmare and as they try Make sense of it one of the gentleman that run the retreatCome knocking on the door with a message about one of the students who Has been killed in a car crash it’s the student that Jake helped last year
    14. At the funeral of Jake start to think, Maybe it’s the Butterfly Effect kicking in if he’d come to Jodie, but gradually it slowly Dons on you Jodie is his home not just a place where he’s hiding out.
    15. Finally in the winter of 1961 Jake gets a call from the woman in Dallas saying she’s on her way out of the boarding house Jake says he will give her more money if she meet him.
    16. Jake gives her the money for the information and his old coat she then tells him a story about her little seeing a monster she calls a jimla.
    17. Once again back home Sadie calls about the staff Christmas party and then asks Jake where he’s been he lies of course well said most of the truth says he’s been shopping, There is a cold feeling he gets and they both hang up but something has changed slightly he knows he can’t tell the whole truth and is now wondering what he can actually tell her in the end.

What I Think – This chapter was a bit of a pain to read not because the language or the set-up for the situation because it starts off with Jake making a happy life a happy time for himself and Sadie but further we get into the chapter things start going slightly south and we know at some point he has got to tell the truth but he’s built his happy life on a lie.

Then the death of the young gentleman in the drama class happens which is almost the catalyst to everything else the bad dreams and this repeated phrase whichs he keeps hearing, now we’re getting into the countdown to 1963 and, the real reason he has come back I have no idea what how it will all end and How many people would be broken by.

Well that’s your lot for this week, And as always if you have been thank you for reading so I hope you can join me next week for the next chapter as we continue our adventure through this book.

Bookends – Bookreview- 11.22.63 by Stephen King – Part Four – Sadie and The General- Chapter Fourteen

The following blog has Spoilers for the Stephen King  book11.22.63 this your one and only warning.

The Book So Far – Jake finally decides to settle in Dallas the year is is now 1961 he has been teaching at a school just outside of Dallas he has become the de facto drama teacher in a little town called Jodie thanks to the guiding hand of a woman named mimi who eventually works out that his name is not George. He helps a young football player overcome his shyness by taking a role in the school’s presentation of Of Mice and Men later that same year the woman that helped him get the job marries and introduces in to a woman called Sadie. Mimi Passes away later on at the end of the year and George/Jake with the help of Sadie plan a memorial service. However all the time he is thinking about the notes Al made and where abouts Lee Harvey Oswald is expected to be.

      And now the continuation.

      1. Jake and Sadie put the memorial and both children and staff cry, and he picks Twelve Angry Men for the school play calling it the The Jury so he can cast girls to.
      2. He goes back to Dallas and buys bugging unit which fits in the base of lamp
      3. With the map and notes Al made Jake finds one of the homes LHO  will live in a few months times he them gives the people some money to tell him when they move out. At home he finds a note from Sadie.
      4. The note turns out to be a request for him to chaperone the school dance.
      5. The school is in full swing and Jake Takes a walk outside to stop any underage drinking he finds a few of the kids he knows and while he tells them off for drinking he says our school, Which suddenly makes you feel as if he belongs there and that he will never go back to 2011
      6. Jake and Sadie dance much to the Pleasure and amusement to the kids in the hall
      7. They drive back to Sadie’s home and they kiss but Sadie gets Scared because she has never moved beyond that.
      8. When he gets home phone is ringing and it’s Sadie they make plans, She tells him that she has to get a residency divorce from her estranged husband so she will have to get a summer job, In another state. In his head Jake works out were LHO will be and what will happen next to all the actors on his stage.

What I think – So Jake is going to stay at the end of the book, Jake is going to live out the rest of his life out of the 21st century, To be totally honest it doesn’t come as a complete surprise because I have the idea that Jake is in fact the yellow card man, Who has been drinking himself slowly to death. Haunted by what he has done and what he’s about to do the rest of it is all window dressing his reasons for staying and his eventual realisation that he can make a bigger difference here then he could in 2011. The question becomes is exactly how will we find out about if any of the changes he has made will stick onto who he will confess everything to because at some point he’s gonna have a mental breakdown.

Well that’s my thoughts on this chapter anyway so as always if you have been thank you for reading and I hope you will join me next week for the next chapter.

Bookends – Bookreview- 11.22.63 by Stephen King – Part Three – Living In Past – Chapter Thirteen

The Book So Far-  Jake how makes him away across the U.S. first To New Orleans and keeps tabs on Lee Harvey Oswald and his family, Coming across the 1950s and 60s racism, He makes his way eventually to Dallas and in the summer of 1960 tries to get himself a place to live to, but there is something about Dallas he does not like and when he he Witnesses a shooting he makes his mind up And moves on ending up in a small town taking a teaching job.

      And now continuation.

      1. It now May 18 1961, Jake is working on his book when Michael Coslaw comes to see him
      2. The darma department at the school is now being run by Jake  thanks to Mimi Corcoran
      3. Jake talks Micheal into staying on As part of the play Of Mice and Men playing Lenny
      4. The play is an amazing Triumph
      5. Jake Has given mini his manuscript which she reads she then cuts out if anybody publishers it he will never be able to teach again. She then offers him a job as a permanent teacher at school and Quick mental set of notes he has Jake decide to take the job and become a permanent member of staff, and sets him up with a friend of hers
      6. Mimi gets married and Jake/George meets Sadie Clayton
      7. In August the same Mimi died Jake is given the task of Putting together a memorial
      8. Sadie help him put together the memorial and they become friends
      9. Together they go to a football match and during the match the cheerleaders end up shouting the same thing the yellow card man had shouted when Jake had bumped into him the first time.

What I think – So Jake really has got himself into this world has become a working member of society but almost reluctantly first because he can’t find a house in the centre of Dallas so he comes to a place called Jodie. Then he finds a part-time teaching job I was coerced into becoming a full-time member of the teaching staff, by a charismatic older lady who actually runs the school and now he even has his own set of Friends who don’t want anything more than just to be in his company.

Simply put the book has become two stories and man knowing the future but with only parts come back to him. Trying to write a book reflecting on what he has already done and seen.

I have no idea yet what the eventual outcome will be but I do have a feeling that the yellow card man is a will become Jake at some point in the story which is a bit of a shame in a bit of a cop-out.

How is interactions with the people at the school will affect his eventual saving of John F Kennedy and The Killing of Lee Harvey Oswald will play out I have no idea but I look forward to finding out.

So if you have been thank you for reading and I hope you can join me next week for the next chapter as we go deeper into the book.

The Book So Far – Jake thinks about the girl Al tried to save, so he sets out to do the same thing but not in the same, he plays cards with the guy who’s stay bullet hit her. The man wife thinks Jake is angel.

       and now the continuation,

      1. Jake travels though 1950 American and is shocked to see a coloured sign for the restroom which turns out be a hole in a plank of wood
      2. Sixty miles south of Tampa Jake takes a room and becomes a guy with a rich uncle he even starts to write two books one the book we are reading the other cover all about a murder, he tries to read Al notes but there just become an Obsessive addiction
      3. To make money, Jake puts down a few bets. and by the end knows a man who worked Lee Harvey Oswald uncle
      4. After visiting the library Jake write off for a phony degree and managed to end up having a teaching job where upon he is told off by the school administration for reading Catcher in the Rye.
      5. In July of 1960 Jake heads out of town so the mob guys he’s been betting with don’t come knocking
      6. In New Orleans Jake finds himself standing outside want will be come LHO (Lee Harvey Oswald) home when an old men tells him the place is Haunted
      7. Jake finds he has library book which he needs to returned, so he rings the number of the library and told by the librarian that someone has set fire to his empty house. He tells the librarian he will send the book back.
      8. Sitting outside the School Book Depository in Dallas Jake feels a sense of Menace, Al wanted him to kill LHO before the idea even enter him head but Jake has his plan
      9. Jake keep a light touch on LHO and moves to Dallas and hates the place
      10. Jake finds a place to live but the landlord is a racist
      11. Walking around the town Jake is witness to a shoting a patron shots a young woman for calling in a few rude names then shoots himself
      12. Jake tries to stop the woman from bleeding
      13. He can’t sleep and can’t think, so Jake will move out of the city away from the crazy
      14. He heads south and to a dinner run by Al Stevens, the town is quiet and Al tells Jake about the town football and to talk to Principle Simmons
      15. Three hours later Jake has a five room shotgun house in the town called Jodie
      16. Later that some evening with Principle Simmons and Miss Corcoran the latter asking all If not most of the questions. She asks even about The Catcher in the Rye book to which Jake replies it should be in library but only given to certain students at the librarians discretion.
      17. In need of money Jake makes one last bet which turns out to be a mistake.
      18. When he goes to collect his winning he’s asked for his ID and address which makes him nervous.
      19. Jake’s narrative jumps forward in time to 1960 Jake Witnesses an argument between Oswald’s mother and his older brother Robert and her insistence that Robert get me to call her when he can and his brother pointing out that he is now a communist.

What I think – Jake seems to have settled down quite a lot of bounce around In the physical world and his own narrative it’s quite a lot of detail like before but it also doesn’t repeat itself it doesn’t tell you things That are commonly known history but it also doesn’t fill in all the blanks it just keeps going back to the notes that Al made for Jake.

It also seems to not gloss over it but not make the racism and the hatred to obvious which is actually what somebody would do if you were from back into the late 50s early 60s you would want to distance yourself very much from it. but I don’t really get the need for needless shooting of the woman in the ally. Jake says that he’s not good to stay with the racist and it doesn’t suit him still hasn’t really no need to run home the point.

We also have Jake constantly looking over his shoulder having now taking a teaching job making sure that they don’t find his references are funny and then he makes a big mistake by trying to put another bet down one last time. What the outcome will be and how it will affect the Lee Harvey Oswald mission he is now and I have no idea and the fact that we are once again bouncing around the timelines those show a sort of restless feeling.

As always thank you for reading, and I hope enjoyed my look at the chapter from this book and that you can join me next week for the next chapter as we work our way through Stephen King 11 22 63.

The Book So Far – Jake makes his life in the 50s and is able to draw his plans to stop Harry’s father Frank from killing his family, Jake find a place and watches and waits but while he watches and waits the gentlemen it’s been following him, bill comes along they have a conversation and Bill fills Jake in about Dunning. Bill wants to kill Dunning, eventually Jake gets away and is able to stop Frank but only with Bill’s help.

      1. Jake makes it back to 2011 much to Al’s surprise and shock.
      2. Al Goes to look for bandages for Jake’s head, and Jake looks around the dinner only to find Harry’s photo is no longer there.
      3. Jake asks Al who does remember Harry so they go and look him up on the internet but when they find a photo of the custodial staff Harry’s not there
      4. Al says it must be something to do with the fact that they are close to hole and that why they both remember, Jake thinks so to
      5. Together they head home to Al house Jake having trouble driving, When they get there a nurse is waiting for Al her name is Doris.
      6. Jake goes to his own house feeds his cat and falls asleep
      7. In the morning check up on himself up in a few newspapers, The first one he’s fine is a story about a local mystery the police are seeking a mystery man whose convertible has been found with bloodstains Bill the gentleman who sold the car to George is now looking for him unlike today’s papers there is no sensation or false accusation they are just looking for a missing gentleman. The second story is about Frank, According to the story Frank Dunning of prominent member of the business community had a gone to see his ex wife, Dunning had struck his wife with a hammer breaking her arm and then killing his 12 year old son. A passed by Mr Bill Turcotte stopped Frank and killed him with a knife. A nice and simple story for a nice and simple town. Jake then rings Directory assistance
      8. There is no listing for Doris, Troy or Harold Dunning but there’s a listing for Ellen. Jake introduces himself as George and tries to convince her that they used to be friends growing up. Ellen then tells him that Harry died in Vietnam so then Jake tries to push it even further and Ellen Knows something is wrong but the sound of his voice he then goes on to tell him that Harry believed he had a guardian angel and that he would be safe, but she is very upset that George or whoever he is wasn’t there to save Harry.
      9. Jake has a bad feeling and the bad feeling fuzzy all the way to Al house, Because when he gets there he doesn’t find out I live in fact he finds him dead how has taken a bottle of pills and left him a note so Jake has to do what he promised.
      10. In his own home Jake gather together all the things Al has left him, ID, the money and the key to the diner.
      11. Jake makes it to The Diner but it feels very strange with out Al, He makes it through the rabbit hole and begins to search for the yellow card man but he science him sprawled out on the concrete with his eyes open in a pool of blood his throat has been slashed from ear to ear and in one hand is a jagged shade of green metal and in the other the card that once was yellow then orange is now dead black.

What I Think – Well the bodies are beginning to pile up first because for Jake messing about with time, that one I can accept things have to get worse before they can get better but the death of Al just seems a bit of unnecessary death, as for the yellow card man I do hope that doesn’t turn out be times idea of bad joke.

So that’s your lot for this week, and as always thank you for reading and you can join me next week for the next chapter.

So day in October Jake still playing Real estate agent decides to talk to people about the left side rec area one of these people is Doris Dunning. She says it was shut because of the budget cuts but in reality it was when the child murders were happening.Jake works out the place will make a good spot in which to see Dunning but he who see Jake too.

      6. As the days pass the feeling sick gets worse doesn’t care if he’s still hearing he shall be there.
      7. Jake’s nervousness is actually making hi.com physically ill so he goes to the chemist a buys several remedies in the hope that will make you feel better However he has an accident and ends up needing the bathroom but the only bathroom we can find is the one at the bar across the road and sat at one of the tables watching him is a gentleman called Bill Turcotte.
      8. The night comes and Jake makes his way to the back of the house, But as he waits someone comes up behind him with a gun its Bill Turcotte who not happy and Jakes gun. He Suffering from the same complaint Jake is, So Jake finds it easy to question him. It turns out Bill wants to kill Dunning to because Dunning killed his sister
      9. Bill tells Jake the whole history of Dunning and his sister even were he thinks the bodies are, he then tells Jake.about being in high school with Dunning and Chaz. So Jake tell Bill some kind of truth but now Bill wants it kill everyone in the house. so it would Dunning going to prison

      16. Reaching the drying Shed he begins to try and find the hole but has another shot when he can’t find it he begins to think that his entire life as Jake everything from his Prize winning garden in Grammar School to his abandoned novel in college and his marriage was one huge crazy hallucination and in fact he is George Amberson all along, But then out of the night Jake hears Al and he walks towards the sound and steps back into 2011

What I Think.- So Jake has changed the past or at least tried to what awaits him when he returns to 2011 we shall see in the next few chapters it didn’t go according exactly to plan but he must have change something. There has been a lot of back history and stories from the people he has met in Darby and that’s quite interesting what I don’t like is quite a lot of the modern profanities that people seem to have been using I’m not very sure that some of the words are recent inventions like the c word for example I don’t think that was common uses in the 1950s but that’s my only gripe about the last few chapters so we shall see what we shall see.

Well that’s your lot for this week and as always if you have been thank you for reading and see you next week for the next chapter.

Bookends – Bookreview- 11.22.63 by Stephen King – Part Two – The Janitor’s Father – Chapter Seven

The Book so Far – Jake buys himself a car and heads further down the coast, he ends up in a town more industrial than rural, which is totally unlike the town he came in through. He begins to have second thoughts about the whole idea changing the time line. But in the end he realises he’s going to let Al down so keeps going. First he asks around but he’s told a better off looking in the phone book because Harry’s father’s name is very common.
So in the evening he goes to the bar at the hotel his booked into and talks the barman the barman tells him about a few murders that have taken place. And surnames match up so in the morning Jake decides to try and look in library.
But as he heads to library stop by two people who are dancing in the middle of the road they seem somehow more open than the people he’s already asked so over the course of an hour or two he finds out the street name of the murders and makes his way around to it and then just too he’s about to leave he finds himself face to face with a young Harry.

And now the Continuation – Part Two – The Janitor’s Father – Chapter Seven.

      1. Jake has spent 7 weeks in Derby which she comes to hate and fear it because of the sense of impending failure around the place. And he knows he can’t leave because he’s seen Harry before he becomes hop along Harry and not only that his sister is no longer just a name in a painstakingly written essay.
      2. On second day in Derby Jake goes to the market and tries to fit in trying to find Mr Dunning who turns up to have a butchery shop and look remarkably like the young janitorA very nice man always joking a very nice man with very cold as ice eyes.
      3. At a 7:15 when the market is closed for the day, Jake waits outside the market and what is Mr curry and Dunning walk to the bus stop. Jakes on the bus and few stops down feeling like an alien in science fiction flim. Dunning gets off the bus and Jake follow him,Two stops later having having seen him walk into a 3 Storey new England Victorian house with a sign hanging from the porch best price rooms by the week of the month. In America where surface had always passed the substance people always believes like Frank Dunning.
      4. Are the following Tuesday Jake rent an apartment advertised in the Derby News and considers his options.1 tell the police 2. Anonymously call the Butcher and tell him he is being watched  3.Frame the Butcher for something 4. Implicate the butchers somehow.5 Kill the butcher. Having written this down Jake tried to go to sleep.
      5. Laying in the bed Jake thinks about the list telling the police might work but as well but who would believe him if he told them about Dunning. Calling him being answer yet maybe that would change him totally make him move his plan ahead. And as for framing him Jake is a school teacher not an CIA agent. The only show where was to follow him wait until he was a long and then killing keep it nice and simple. But there was a problem with that too the biggest was just didn’t know if he could go through with it what is he went through with it and then got caught before he could escape to the future where he was Jake and not George. A new idea popped into his head one crazy Leah attractive he could station himself across the road on the Halloween night and just watch make sure it really happened and then drive back to Lisbon Falls go through the rabbit hole in the middle return to September 9th in the morning but the whole purpose of this chick had to be to find out what effect saving the janitors family would have on the future and if he let Frank goes through with the murders he wouldn’t know.
      6. Jake go and buys himself.Colt.38 police revolver special he told the clerk it was because he needed protection being a real estate man as he walk back down the street with his gun in briefcase he’s sure sees the guy who should be at work and thinks he’s being watched.
      7. That evening Jake watches Dunning and looks for the guy with no suspenders he sees running and knows he’s going home and convince himself that the guy watching him was a coincidence the following evening however done in travels down the three-way intersection of centre Kansas and witcham heading for a bar called the lamplighters Dunning goes inside. Jake thinks it’s time that he started to belong here so sad to go inside himself.
      8. Sitting down he’s accosted by a gentleman called Charles Frati who Notices that he looking back at the table they shake hands and Jake introduces himself as George. The table Dunning sat at belongs to the Tony Tracker and his brother Phil who run a freight haulage company. Chaz knows that Jake George his new and guess he’s that eating the Business of real estate.Chaz thinks that George is here to buy site from mall. Chaz goes on to say that he owns the land underneath the Kitchener Ironworks and the trackers all the rest he also knows that Frank has a drinking problem because he used to stay out late to All Hours playing poker with the guys now all he does is one drink and out the door Chaz says that him and Frank went to the same school together and he was supposed to go to University of men or you got a girl pregnant and ended up married And.2 years later she decided to leave him.Frank is the kind of guy fighting the Germans in the Jap’s would probably done him some good get it out of his system but he came up 4F. So the guy who owns the meat store before him makes him on and says if you don’t wise up I’m going to drop you so frankly seasides to Wise Up and straighten up. He divorces the first wife and settled for Doris McKinney three kids the whole bit. But Doris turns up to church with bruises on her face and three weeks later he’s out the door living in a rooming house classed as he could to the old homestead.
      9. So Jake realises is keeping notes in a small notebook is not going to work so he goes to buy a typewriter and then checks on his friend Charles.
      10. At the days slip Jake has settle into life, reading and Al’s notes he visits the library and reads about the murders and disappearances in the 1957 and 1958 looking for stories as well I Frank Dunning but found nothing. However Jake follows Dunning agian once to the Brewers market and again when picks up his kids for a day at the cinema. the following Saturday they go back to the cinema and to a football game this time Mrs Dunning makes a brief appearance when he drops the children at home, The next Jake follows Dunning to a cemetery and what is him place a basket of flowers on two graves.

What I think – Jake obviously has become running stalker so he can find the movements and stop the guy before the killings but I do think it’s a very quick fix to meet the gentleman at the lamplight who knows all about Dunning. Like I said before I have no real history of America so I’ve not sure whether some of the history lessons are correct or not and there also seems to be Mr King poking fun at himself because there is a certain prison mentioned by Jake which he doesn’t want to end up in if everything goes wrong.

well that’s your lot for this week and as always if you have been thank you for reading and see you next week for the next chapter.

Bookends – Bookreview- 11.22.63 by Stephen King – Part Two – The Janitor’s Father – Chapter Six

The Book so Far – Jake leaves the drying Shed and has violent encounter with the yellow card man, but just as before he gives him the sliver dollar, Jake gets himself a root beer and has a very similar conversation with both Junior and senior.

But there are things that are not the same a few beats are missed he then goes to the bank and deposit the money that Al has given him from find out that he still has his cell phone and a few coins from 2007 in his pockets.

He then calls a cab and travel out of town to the Countryside of Maine where he finds a hotel room for the evening but unable to sleep he goes for a walk he then throws his phone and the remain coins into a pond and return to the hotel room goes to sleep.

And now the Continuation – Part Two – The Janitor’s Father – Chapter Six

      1. Jake goes back to the Chevron dealer and by himself the 1954 convertible that was sitting in the parking lot a heads to a place called Derry happy that is until he gets there
      2. There is a cloud of pollution hanging over the whole place thanks to the many paper and textile Mills operating at full run. The car Jake’s driving is the only shade of colour in the entire place. Having forgot to buy a hat the previous day Jake goes into a haberdashery shop which like the rest of the town is very unfriendly and not very welcoming. He buys it has information about Harry running but the salesman has no information to give he then asked about a hotel. He then heads to the local bar and there were two guys looking at his convertible he asks them as well about Harry but they’re telling him looking a phone book. He feels he might as well turn the car around and got back through the rabbit hole, and leave Al High and Dry, He knows he can’t so heads up the hill and booked himself in to the hotel.
      3. Jake looks in the phone book and finds guys at the bar right Harry’s second name is extremely common in this part of town so he goes for something to eat and then tries to talk to the barman in the hotel. It turns out the folks around town are to family murders all kids round up and down The Swan patches that runs through the centre of town. But there has been one of the murder and it wasn’t some guy dressed as a funny clown that was a boy’s father so Jake ask you questions and it turns out the fire that has alibi out. It turns out there is a kid brother in his family as well he also has a hammer. Call Eddie but he disappeared last June.
      4. As Jake’s back to his room maybe he’s already changed the things by Simply being here.
      5. In the morning she goes to the restaurant and eat his breakfast and see the local paper he tries to look through the local paper trying to find the Diamonds are we can find is a pee wee football league team he then he then takes about perhaps just plug in the name into a search engine and letting Big Brother the rest but then remembered that the most up-to-date computers were the size of a small housing development so he goes to the library instead
      6. Jake begins to walk around town not really looking and not really seeing being aware of things but not really interacting with them until he hears a song, He gets to the library and is told that the census are now held at city hall and to speak to a Marcia grey and she will help him find out who is looking for.He does get to town hall and it stole all the records were wiped or destroyed in a flood so he can’t find who is looking for you are so besides it’s not good to start hanging around places as he leaves the town hall he hears the tune again and he’s correct it is a Glenn Miller tune so he walks towards the sound of the song
      7. There in a park area he watches to teenagers as they dance to the record he’s reminded to have his wife ex-wife and their six month both before and after they got married dancing in competitions he is also scared as if he is see a clockwork of the universe. They talked for awhile and Jake notices the something slightly is skew with them not like the grown ups. They seem to want to talk not shy away from him so he asks them slowly about Harry’s family I’m gets a few answers he’s even told what street they live on.After the questions he slows down the record player teachers the girl have to slow down A few of the steps.
      8. Jake leaves the children dancing down to where they told him the street while it’s a white head Lang Street old fashioned New England saltbox houses sprinklers and Lawns, the street dead ends recreational Hall which is deserted and for sale. Outside one of the houses there is a small little girl has Jake notes down the number of the house he sees the mother come out call the child in next to her is a young boy this young boy is a younger version of Harry.

What I think – As we move through the world with Jake we are getting a bit of reflected history, some things I know about something’s I don’t not being American the interesting thing is the talk with the barman which does Strike me as a bit strange we have had a bit of exposition and we know about the killings that have gone on but the guy behind the bar seems to know slightly more than he’s telling in fact it does sound like he is quoting Mr King’s previous books by mentioning a gentleman dressed as a clown killing people and other people finding a body in the river.
There is a very underlying thing in this story is if someone’s going to come out a point and beat the living out of Jake just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he sees the children Dancing In The Park some how otherworldly, I have no idea what job does has any bearing on the eventual outcome of the story or any eventual timeline but I just hope that we don’t fall into the some old trap of if he starts to change history history will make sure that he suffers.

well that’s your lot for this week and as always if you have been thank you for reading and see you next week for the next chapter.
