Some day it might be worthwhile to find out how images are made or even more how fake images come into being, all of us have and do grow up with little question or regard for the images we are shown, or when do start to question them its the wrong questions and the wrong images.
But now its clear that the true problems we face are much deeper than who has who hasn’t got there hand in the till or how much we pay for petrol, deeper even that inflation or recession, the problems we are not out there, the problems are right here,
We have committed ourselves to pursuit of freedom but our idea of freedom is a falsehood an image we convince ourselves that with pilling up of wealth being on the never, never payment plan is the only way we can have things that want, Our dependence on oil is the best expiation I can show you its now the centre of most people’s worlds it has lead us all down to interventionism and now even a war.
So now is the time stand up, to take hold, you don’t have to do anything huge just make yourself heard by peaceful means, I have a friend who have taken it upon themselves to do just that, they have become teacher to shape the future and the world she lives in, building the confidence of the next generation, because the erosion of our confidence in the future is threatening to destroy the social fabric of our lives and that I thank her for, To able to say years from now that she made a different to the world and not just sat on her hands, well that is more that any kind wealth can buy, She have put her self on the real front line not the struggle for oil or money but the struggle for the true and the real hope for our world.
We’ve are now at the crossroads discovering that owning things and consuming things does not satisfy our longing for meaning. We’ve learned that piling up material goods cannot fill the emptiness of lives which have no confidence or purpose. These changes did not happen overnight. They’ve come upon us gradually over the last generation, years that were filled with shocks and tragedy but is the line to draw a line in the sand
First of all, we must face the truth, and then we can change our course. We simply must have faith in each other, Restoring that faith and that confidence is now the most important task we face. It is a true challenge of this generation.
We are at a turning point in history. There are two paths to choose. One is a path , the path that leads to fragmentation and self- interest. Down that road lies a mistaken idea of freedom, the right to grasp for ourselves some advantage over others. That path would be one of constant conflict between narrow interests ending in chaos and immobility. The second path leads to true freedom
I do not promise you that this struggle for freedom will be easy. I do not promise a quick way out of our problems, when the truth is that the only way out is an all-out effort., but there are no short-term solutions to our long-range problems. There is simply no way to avoid sacrifice.
